3-Year Lenovo™ Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) Extension
The extension must match the term of the base warranty.
COST-EFFECTIVE PROTECTION FOR DAMAGES NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
PROTECT YOUR PC FROM UNPLEASANT SURPRISES
Given the high mobility of today's users, unforeseen events can always happen, even with superbly engineered PCs.
Analyses of Lenovo's mobile repair data show that a significant proportion of users experience damage not covered by the base warranty within the first three years of the PC's lifecycle.
Accidental Damage Protection enables significant cost savings compared to uninsured repairs.
PREDICTABLE BUDGETS
With just one upfront investment, you can precisely predict your annual costs for system repairs.
SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS
Accidental Damage Protection enables significant cost savings compared to repairs or new systems. Users typically save 28% to 80%, depending on the computer and type of repair.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Repairs under Accidental Damage Protection are carried out by Lenovo™ trained technicians who install Lenovo™ certified replacement parts (eliminating the need for secondary repairs).
COMPREHENSIVE REPAIRS
Comprehensive Lenovo diagnostic tools can identify hidden damage that might otherwise go unnoticed.
DID YOU KNOW?
Damage resulting from accidents is not covered by the standard warranty.
Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) protects your system from unpleasant surprises. Through our global network of repair centers, PCs are repaired by certified Lenovo™ technicians using Lenovo™ approved replacement parts. If a user's PC can be repaired, it will be returned.
If a repair is no longer possible, the entire system will be replaced at no additional cost (1). With the warranty extension to Express Depot Service, you ensure minimal downtime and faster repairs.
WHY ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION?
Benefits:
• A sample of Lenovo™ damage cases showed that customers with accidental damage protection can save an average of 28% compared to a typical repair, and even 75% to 80% for tablets (Accidental Damage Protection only available for ThinkPad® Tablets).
• Typical replacement costs for frequently damaged components: • Motherboard up to $500 • Display $450 • Hard drive $300 • DVD drive $200 • Damaged tablet: $250 for minor repairs and up to $600 for multiple part replacements
• IT departments do not have to purchase and manage spare parts to repair defective PCs.
• Comprehensive Lenovo diagnostic tools can identify hidden damage that might otherwise go unnoticed.
• You benefit from minimal downtime and maximum convenience with a warranty extension to Express Depot Service.
WHAT IS TYPICALLY COVERED? (2)
Accidental drops, liquid spills, surges, and hardware failures that occur under normal operating conditions and normal use, such as power surges and damage to the integrated LCD display. If you have an on-site warranty, you may be eligible for on-site repairs under Accidental Damage Protection (3).
Examples
• Your PC accidentally slips off the table and the LCD display breaks.
• During a thunderstorm, a power surge causes significant damage to your PC's hardware.
• You spill coffee on the keyboard and the extent of the damage is unknown.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
Cosmetic damage (4), device loss or defects caused by use outside normal operating conditions. Data loss or business interruption, intentional damage and misuse, removal or alteration of parts or accessories, theft, fire damage, damage to peripherals or third-party products, even if sold by Lenovo™.
Examples
• The casing has a crack, but the system still works.
• You left your PC on the subway.
• You use your computer in the rain and then lose a whole day's work because the PC no longer works.
• The pen or battery was not inserted correctly.
Lenovo™ Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) is part of a comprehensive range of Lenovo™ Services that support the entire lifecycle of your PCs.
(1) The service is limited to one product replacement. If the cost per claim exceeds the price of the product, the product will be replaced. Tablet warranty claim limit: a maximum of one claim every 12 months.
(2) This service is available in the country or region where you purchased the accidental damage protection. It is not transferable if the product is taken to another country.
(3) If you are eligible for on-site service under the Lenovo limited manufacturer's warranty and the service provider determines that your product can be repaired at your location, the service provider will perform the product repair or replacement at your location. Some repairs must be performed at a service center. In such a case, the service provider will send the product to the service center at its own expense. If you have purchased an on-site warranty with accidental damage protection, repairs under the on-site service level will be limited to LCD screens and keyboards that cannot be replaced by the customer. If the repair cannot be completed during the first on-site visit, the system must be sent to the Lenovo service center for completion of the repair. On-site service may not be available in all regions.
(4) Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or cracks that do not affect the functionality or structural integrity of the product. All products and offers are subject to availability.
The extension must match the term of the base warranty.
