Security for 100% of confidential data through 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption in XTS mode, FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation, and crypto-chip management of the encryption key directly on the USB storage device. The USB stick detects physical manipulations and reacts accordingly. Data is automatically protected when the USB stick is removed. The digitally signed firmware of the USB stick, which makes it immune to BadUSB, provides additional security. The S1000 allows two types of passwords: either a complex password or a passphrase of up to 255 characters. After ten invalid password attempts, the drive is locked with the option to reformat or destroy it.
