Stay online and prevent data loss
As soon as the power goes out, an APC Smart-UPS immediately provides emergency power to all connected devices. Since this happens automatically with an APC UPS, you prevent unwanted outages, for example, of a PC, server, or switch. With the free APC PowerChute software, you can even automatically and controllably shut down critical IT hardware when the UPS battery is almost empty. This way, you prevent data loss, downtime, and physical damage to the hardware.

In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices from power surges caused by lightning, among other things. This APC emergency power supply is ideal for use in (small) businesses.

Battery life
You can easily read the estimated battery life in the runtime graph, which you can find between the product images. You can easily see how long the UPS will provide emergency power at a specific load.

SmartConnect
Out-of-the-box UPS remote monitoring, free for a 6-month trial period. With the SmartConnect Ethernet port, you can easily connect the Smart-UPS to your network and easily monitor it remotely via the secure cloud-based APC SmartConnect web portal*. In addition, the UPS can be monitored at any time via this port using EcoStruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI).

PowerChute
By connecting the UPS to a maximum of one server via a USB cable, it can automatically provide a shutdown signal during a prolonged power outage, thus preventing a hard shutdown. This exact time can be set via the free APC PowerChute Serial Edition software.

Network management card
If you connect the UPS directly to your network via the optional APC network management card (AP9640/AP9641), it can be easily managed remotely via SNMP or our remote management software Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI). You can also automatically send a shutdown signal over the network to multiple physical and/or virtual servers. The APC PowerChute Network Shutdown Software connected to the network card can even distinguish between the time of shutdown and the order in which it occurs.

Physical buttons and an LCD screen allow for setting and reading basic functions.

Extend the lifespan
The internal battery (RBC55) can be easily, safely, and independently replaced by the user. This can be done without having to switch off the APC SMT2200IC or connected devices. In this way, you can easily and cost-effectively extend the life of the APC Smart-UPS, and your devices will always remain online.

Warranty extension
The manufacturer's warranty for the SMT2200IC is 3 years, with the exception of the battery, which has a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. Both are extended by 3 years to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-03).

Switched Outlet Groups: Remote restart and phased start
Thanks to Switched Outlet Groups, it is possible to configure a phased/delayed power-on per UPS outlet group. This reduces the peak load of the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, thereby limiting the over-dimensioning of the UPS.

It is also possible to reset a group of multiple UPS outlets and the connected devices. When using SmartConnect Advanced (ERWPLUS1-1Y-DIGI), a UPS with SmartConnect port + Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), or a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this is even possible remotely.

The network-interactive 2200VA UPS tower delivers pure sine wave power to support critical electronics during power interruptions. It features an IEC 320 C20 input, BS1363A British and Schuko CEE 7/EU1-16P input cables, 8 IEC 320 C13 and one IEC 320 C19 plugs, and 2 IEC jumper cables.
