As soon as the power fails, an APC Smart-UPS immediately supplies emergency power to all connected devices. Since this happens automatically with an APC UPS, you prevent unwanted failures of, for example, a PC, server or switch. With the free APC PowerChute software, you can even have critical IT hardware shut down automatically and in a controlled manner if the UPS battery is almost empty. This prevents data loss, downtime and physical damage to the hardware.

In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices from power surges caused by lightning, among other things. This APC emergency power supply is therefore ideally suited for (small) commercial use.

SmartConnect
Ready-to-use UPS remote monitoring, free for a 6-month trial period. Using the SmartConnect Ethernet port, you can easily connect the Smart-UPS to your network and monitor it remotely via the secure cloud-based APC SmartConnect web portal*. In addition, the UPS can be monitored at any time via this port via EcoStruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI).

PowerChute
By connecting the UPS to a maximum of one server via a USB cable, it can automatically provide it with a shutdown signal during a prolonged power outage, thus preventing a hard shutdown. This exact timing can be set using the free APC PowerChute Serial Edition software.

User-friendliness
Physical buttons and an LCD screen allow basic functions to be set and read. Thanks to the included front post brackets for the rack mounting rail, you can easily mount the UPS in a rack.

Battery life
You can easily read the estimated battery life in the runtime diagram, which you can find between the product images. You can easily see how long the UPS will provide emergency power at a given load.

Extend the lifespan
The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC132) can be easily, safely and independently replaced by the user. This without having to switch off the APC SMC1500I-2UC or connected devices. In this way, you can easily and cost-effectively extend the life of the APC Smart-UPS and your devices always remain online.

Warranty extension
The factory warranty of the SMC1500I-2UC is 2 years and you can upgrade to 5 years with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-03).


This APC Smart-UPS is designed for small and medium-sized businesses to maintain uptime and business continuity. This 1500VA Line-Interactive 2U rackmount UPS with pure sine wave output supports critical electronic equipment during power outages. The UPS comes with an IEC 320 C14 input, 4x IEC 320 C13 outputs and 2x IEC jumper cables.
