Integrated Baying Hardware with Multiple Width Enclosure Arrays
Enclosures include pre-installed hardware for joining enclosures in a row and for additional enclosure stability. Pre-installed baying hardware includes provisions for connection to an adjacent enclosure on 600mm centers or 24-inch centers, depending on the floor plan.

Enclosure Assemble-to-Order Options Available
Assemble-to-Order (ATO) enclosure options provide a high level of specific customization for enclosure customers beyond the standard enclosure models. This specific customization is limited to the enclosure build itself and does not include additional components mounted within the enclosure. For example, the enclosure may be assembled without side panels, doors, or without side panels and doors. Refer to apc.com for optional enclosure sizes and availability.

Full Height Pre-installed Enclosure Rear Accessory Channels
Integrated and adjustable rear accessory channels provide zero U mounting locations for toolless accessories. Each channel has two mounting bays to support a combination of up to four accessories such as PDUs and vertical cable organizers. 42U, 32U and deep enclosures and networking enclosures include two channels. 48U deep enclosures include four channels. Channels are pre-installed in the rear of the enclosure from the factory, but they can be moved to other locations in the enclosure, along the side braces, to put the cable management where it is most needed.

Low profile casters and adjustable leveling feet from underneath or above
Enclosures are shipped standard with both leveling feet and casters. Leveling feet can be quickly adjusted with a screw driver or drill, eliminating the need to access the bottom of the enclosure with a wrench.

Split rear doors
Split rear doors optimize floor space. Only 11 inches (279 mm) of clearance is required from the enclosure to the wall or other equipment to allow for the doors to open.

Special packaging for racks with systems installed for shipping
Shock packaging protects standard enclosures shipped with preinstalled systems. We have extensive experience working with leading IT vendors. Packaging and enclosures have recently been certified by Cisco® for pre-installation and shipment of Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS). Refer to apc.com for enclosure sizes and availability.

Adjustable mounting rails with captive hardware and quick adjust
The vertical mounting rails can be adjusted in 1/4 in (6.4 mm) increments covering virtually any mounting requirement for IT equipment. The easy-align feature integrated into the enclosure mounting rail and side brace provide quick verification of alignment, without the need for tools to check the alignment. U positions are numbered front and back for rapid installation of equipment.

Convenience
Quick release doors
The front door can be hinged on the right or left side and can be interchanged with the rear doors. A special fastening system allows the doors to be easily removed upwards.

Perforated front door with rounded profile
Perforated front and rear doors provide comprehensive ventilation for server and networking equipment. The perforated area of the front door is optimized with a rounded profile to provide a larger surface area and to allow for higher perforation coverage and higher perforation rate.

Cable access openings with pre-installed brushes
Large cable access openings in the roof provide access to overhead cable exits. The floor design allows for unobstructed cable access through a raised floor. The roof has openings with pre-installed brush strips, aligned towards the front of the enclosure, to allow for data cable pass-through and provisions for air shielding.

Easily removable roof for cable access
The roof can be removed using simple pin hinges for access during equipment installation, or even with cables already installed and routed through the cable openings. When the roof is removed, it can be inverted to reposition the larger cable openings for power distribution plugs and connectors.
Tools and hardware for enclosure adjustment provided
All enclosures are shipped standard with a hardware bag containing hardware for mounting IT equipment and tools for easy enclosure alignment.
Equipment mounting rails can be integrated into patch cabling systems
Enclosure mounting rails include zero-U mounting holes next to the EIA 19" mounting surface, allowing for installation of the APC Data Distribution Cable (DDC) patch system without consuming critical U-space for equipment. AV and network enclosure designs do not include openings for DDC cable integration. Additional 1-U and 2-U options, as well as zero-U options at the rear of the enclosure, are available for use with these enclosures.

Eyebolt support integrated into enclosure frame
Integrated eyebolt holes on the top of the enclosure frame allow the enclosure to be lifted using an eyebolt lifting mechanism for movement and positioning of the enclosure. Refer to the enclosure user documentation for detailed specifications regarding eyebolt requirements and enclosure weight limits.

Half-height side panels and option with brush strips for pass-through
Quick-release half-height side panels reduce size and weight for effortless handling and equipment access. The side panels can be locked to the doors with a single key. In addition, side panels are now optionally available that are integrated with pass-through openings and brush strips for routing cables in a row to adjacent racks, while ensuring adequate airflow.

Security
Integrated electrical grounding
The top cover plate, side panels, and front and rear doors are grounded to the enclosure frame. Eight additional grounding connections are located on the frame for external grounding.

Performance
A proven frame design, heavy-duty mounting rails, and heavy-duty casters allow for a static load of 3750 lb (1700 kg) and dynamic (caster) load ratings of 2250 lb (1023 kg) (42U-52U). The 12U and 18U have a static and dynamic load capacity of 600 and 900 pounds (272/408 kg) respectively. The enclosures have been tested and approved for combination with suitable screw-fastened accessories to meet various seismic requirements.
